Daryl Black is one of the music industries newest and most gifted singer/songwriter/producers he has been setting the praise and worship scene ablaze. He has been anointed and appointed by God, to minister the Word through song. His fresh and powerful talent in contemporary Christian/Gospel music has had an expansive impact across the nation, and in the greater St. Louis area. He is an accomplished musician with an incredible voice and a heart for the things of God. Daryl Black is on the threshold of breaking new ground in the music industry. Daryl’s talent reveals his life-changing experiences through ministry and his passion for praise & worship.
From his Pentecostal background, to his ministerial education, to his family devotion, Daryl effortlessly brings together these varying elements to make his sound unquestionably distinctive. Daryl has produced several commercial hits and His music ministry has carried him across the country and abroad playing and opening for such artists as Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Dawkins & Dawkins, Marvin Sapp, BB Jay, Shirley Caesar, Daryl Coley and many more.
Daryl is one of five brothers all raised as pastors kids. My parents were consistent in making sure that we knew the Word and that we spent time learning what God desired of us. It was important to them that we understood what we sang and played about. Daryl got his start as a singer and musician in the church at a very young age; as young as four years old. My Mom would make me stand in front of the church and sing Amazing Grace every Sunday, so I became very comfortable singing in front of people
Daryl has a beautiful wife, Tracy, and five beautiful children. As a devoted husband, father, and worship leader Daryl looks to God to help him balance everything. My wife truly has been my rock, she supports me and prays for me, and I constantly thank God for placing her in my life.
In 2004 Daryl felt God calling him to work on a solo project. After much prayer and fasting he began recording in 2005. Its almost as if the moment I surrendered to writing this album God began to give me songs, connecting me with the right people, and opening up doors. This project is truly taken from the pages of my life; struggles, disappointments, joy, peace, freedom and so on, and I pray that every listener will experience the grace of God, recognize Him in his glory, and have true relationship with Him.
The title track, DEEPER, encourages listeners to look at their relationship with God and invites them to worship him in spirit and truth. King David was a worshipper and he was very transparent in his issues but even in his insecurities and problems he was consistently persistent in seeking the face of God; this is the kind of worshipper that I desire to be, a man after Gods heart, says Daryl.
The albums other songs include praise & worship anthems such as Are You Ready, He Reigns, We Come to Worship You, and Great Things. The ballad Save You is a plea to all to surrender your life to Christ and let Him give you life more abundantly. Your Love magnifies the intensity of Gods grace beyond our faults and His willingness to love us through our mistakes and purify us with his love. Free portrays another face of Gods creative redemption, and closing the record is Thank You, an uplifting praise anthem of adoration thanking God for his unmerited favor and continued presence.
Daryl wrote, arranged, and produced the entire project with help from fellow musicians and friends. Levi Too King is an incredible producer, musician, and friend and he has helped me through every step of this project, says Daryl.

I believe that true relationship with God is birthed out of experience with Him and time spent meditating on and studying His word, says Daryl.
