<description>Just wanted to share a little testimony on serving that I have experienced recently.

My wife picked me up from work one day and told me that before we could go home, we would have to make a 25 minute drive to her brothers to get our other car from her Mother. It was a hard day and I was so ready to go home. I immediately found myself upset because I was being inconvienced. Pretty sad considering the trip was being made so we could pick up our car that my Mother In Law was so gracious to pick up from the shop. We had to pick it up from my Brother In Laws beccause my Mother In Law was asked to babysit. On top of that, we were going to my Borther In Law who no longer talks with most of his family. He has only seen my son once in his one year of life. Needless to say my feelings toward him are not that high.

I had no desire to see him or his wife so I was fuming inside the whole trip. Once there I took a deep breath and readied myself for the initial "Hello's"!! I told myself to be loving no matter what. When we met, we hugged and asked how each other were doing. He immediately took the time to pick up my son and give him some attention. He was currently breaking down his swing set in the backyard. He was in the midst of moving from one house to another. He had 3 friends over helping but God moved me to help as well. Next thing I know I am unscrewing bolts and helping decide how best to move it. I saw my wife looking at me out the back window and I immediately thought as I looked at her..."God wants me here!! I am here for a reason!!" My attitude was already softening, but with that realization I was now butter and was genuinely happy to be there.

In the end, not only did I help break it down and help move a few other big items (big screen television, and a refrigerator). I helped take them to the new house and get them to where they needed to be. Working with my Borther In Law was overall a very good experience. I don't understand him and am angry at him for allowing the seperation (especially when it comes to the kids), but I love him none the less. We said our goodbyes and mentioned how we hoped to see him again.

We may not see him again for months or even years but I am very thankful that God gave me the opportunity to serve my Brother In Law. I am thankful that God called me out on my selfishness and anger and straightened out my heart. In the end I was served...served a lesson on how God wants me to be. It is one thing to have knowledge on what God's Word says and on what He expects from us...It is another to actually take that knowledge and apply it, especially when we don't want to.

I have heard it said...True Wisdom is taking the knowledge of God and using it as He (God) sees fit. True Wisdom is being Obedient to a Holy God no matter what. There are times when I feel that I cannot do what He ask but Knowledge/Wisdom says different!!
Mark 9:23 "Everything is possible for him who believes."</description>
